Emily Tedesco

Emily Tedesco began her love of dance while growing up in Vestal, NY. From a very young age Emily heard that whispering voice in her heart that said she needed to dance. That love of dance propelled her into the professional world. She went on to train at the prestigious School of American Ballet for three years, followed by the San Francisco Ballet School for one year on full merit scholarships. At the age of 18 she was invited to join the San Francisco Ballet as an apprentice -- her first taste of the life of a professional dancer. From there Emily danced professionally with the Boston Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Nevada Ballet Theatre, Florida Grand Ballet, collaborated with Cirque du Soliel and Phantom of the Opera of Las Vegas, and participated in the National Choreographic Initiative in Irvine, CA.

During her extensive professional dance career she has been fortunate to have explored many major cities within the United States. Though even more than the cities she has lived in, Emily cherishes the people she’s met and life experiences she has had along the way.

Presently, Emily is going into her fifth year as a full time resident in Florida and is delighted that she crossed paths with Karen Winselmann and began her Pilates training. Transferring her love of the mind, body, and spiritual connection to others will always be where Emily derives her professional satisfaction and inspiration. At this stage of her life and career as a dancer, choreographer and teacher, these values have lead Emily to pursue the Real Pilates Teacher Training Program. Pilates allows one to find symmetry and balance in the body. One of Emily's deepest beliefs is that finding such symmetry and balance creates longevity and personal satisfaction.
