I love doing Pilates at Pure Pilates! Karen and her team are practically obsessive about proper form and cueing, thus making sure that you do the exercises safely and effectively each and every time. Because of this, I have gotten better results more quickly at Pure Pilates than at other studios that I frequented previously in the same general area. I have been working with Karen at Pure Pilates for about two years. Before I started Pilates I was doing the typical heavy weight gym workouts and I had shoulder pain, wrist pain and my entire body hurt. I have been pretty diligent about staying in shape, but Pilates has improved my fitness level in a whole new way. My core is stronger than it ever was, and I am much more flexible that I used to be; both of these attributes are helpful in a workout, but they also make difference in day-to-day living. (I can keep up with my kids!) But while I highly recommend Pilates, I would only recommend it from a very professional studio, and that's what Pure Pilates is. There is no cookie-cutter approach at Pure Pilates. Karen assesses each individual student and determines which exercises are right for his or her body. She is an excellent communicator, and she ensures that you are doing each movement correctly in order to get the optimal benefit from your session. While I had done Pilates in the past, I had not seen the results that I desired. Working with Karen at Pure Pilates has been a completely different experience. When I first started, I had never taken a Pilates class/session ever, so I was very nervous and apprehensive. From day one, you gave me encouragement on taking the sessions. I'm so glad I walked in to your studio that day...since my sessions began, I have felt much better about myself. I have more strength and flexibility, and I just FEEL better in general. An added plus is your location, it's close to my home, so the ease of getting to you is great, and since I'm not really a 'gym' person, its a warm place to come to and I don't feel pressured. And I'd be remiss if I didn't say how much I like Jenny Marin, my trainer...she's great!! She's a keeper!! She's very positive in the way she teaches, makes a point to help me on every move...I really enjoy working with her. I'm so glad I'm training at Pure Pilates!! Thank you so much!!
What’s not to love about Pure Pilates…the studio is tastefully decorated, the equipment is top notch and Karen is the best -- motivating, entertaining and 100% professional. Don’t miss out on this wonderful way to get fit. We have been going twice a week for more than 3 months and can’t imagine stopping. During this time we have improved our posture as well as lost inches around the waist and hips.
